APRILIA SR 160 OVERVIEW & PRICE
The engine specifications of Aprilia SR 160 remain unaltered and use the same BS6 compliant 160.03cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 3-valve engine that makes 11PS at 7,600rpm and 11.6Nm at 6,000rpm. The motor is linked with the CVT gearbox. The typical front apron has an LED headlight embedded into it. The turn indicators have been placed on the handlebars.
The updated SR 160 has a fully digital instrumental cluster that comprises a top speed recorder, average speed recorder, tachometer, speedometer, odometer, two-trip meters, fuel economy indicator, fuel gauge, engine temperature indicator, and a clock. The under-storage capacity is about 11 litres, and it gets a USB charger and a boot light. The new console misses the Bluetooth connectivity but can be added later with additional charges after purchase.
The scooter implies telescopic front forks and a mono-shock unit at the rear to handle the suspension duties. Brakes are applied on 220mm disc brake at the front and 140mm drum- brake at the back. The safety net includes a single-channel anti-locking braking system. The telescopic forks and the large 14-inch diameter wheels give the scooter an offensive stance, which should help it stand out from its rivals.
Unlike other scooters, this model has a unique ‘X’ shape as a tail light at the rear, which is an attractive feature of the Aprilia SR 160. The Fuel capacity is 6 litres, and it weighs around 122kg. It is available in five colours- White, Black, Blue, Red and Grey. The rivals of this model are the Yamaha Aexox 155 and Vespa 150. The current ex-showroom Aprilia SR 160 price is ₹ 1,30,378.
