Ready for a journey into the unknown. On asphalt or off-road- the F 850 GS Adventure overcomes every surface. Its new standard features and extensive optional equipment allow you to individualize this GS however you see fit. It gets more features that make it off-road-ready. The F850 GS Adventure follows a styling similar to the F850 GS with redesigned bodywork. The front ‘beak’ is broad, and the bike also sports wind deflectors, a tall windscreen, redesigned radiator shrouds with a vast luggage rack and engine guard.
Furthermore, BMW has equipped the F850 GS Adventure with a 23-liter fuel tank, eight liters bigger than the unit on the standard bike. The weight of the bike has also increased. It has a kerb weight of 244kg, 15kg heavier than the F850 GS. There is no difference in the powertrain, and the F850 GS Adventure gets the same 853cc, liquid-cooled parallel-twin motor as the F850 GS. This unit churns out 95bhp of power and 92Nm of torque and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox.
It offers a 230 mm range on the front and 215 mm on the rear suspension – for intense riding pleasure on any terrain. In addition to deactivating ABS, two standards- Rain and Road riding modes are available at the touch of a button. With the Pro riding mode, there are also the standard riding modes Enduro and Enduro Pro. It provides the appropriate setup for riding situations and the respective surface that turns ABS into ABS Pro and ASC into DTC (Dynamic Traction Control).
The F 850 GS Adventure also shows its superiority on off-road terrain thanks to the more prominent 21-inch front tire, the cross-spoked wheel for tubeless tires, enduro footrests, the engine protection bar, and its underride protection and practical hand-protector bars. Regarding its electronics, the F850 GS Adventure has ABS, ASC (Automatic Stability Control), traction control, and two riding modes.
The motorcycle also gets a 6.5-inch Bluetooth-enabled TFT display and LED lighting for the tail lamp, headlamp, and turn signals. The F850 GSA is available in Triple Black and a Light White color. As for competition, the BMW F850 GS Adventure competes against the Triumph Tiger 900 Rally and the Honda Africa Twin in India. The current ex-showroom BMW F 850 GS Adventure price is ₹ 13,75,000.
