Raptee e bikes is a Chennai-based electric vehicle (EV) startup that has made significant strides in the Indian electric motorcycle market.The company is focused on developing high-performance electric motorcycles in india. Founded in 2019, the raptee company has focused on integrating high-voltage technology, traditionally used in electric cars, into e bikes. This innovative approach has positioned Raptee.HV is a pioneer in the Indian EV sector, particularly with the launch of its flagship model, the T30, India’s first high-voltage electric motorcycle.

Raptee.HV aims to cater to two primary customer segments: motorcycle enthusiasts looking for a lifestyle-aligned alternative to 250cc internal combustion engine (ICE) bikes and riders upgrading from 100cc or 150cc motorcycles. The company has adopted universal charging standards, making its motorcycles compatible with the widespread CCS2 car charging stations across India.

Future Plans

Raptee.HV aims to expand its presence to 8-10 major metro cities in its first year, including Chennai, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Delhi, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad, with plans to reach 125-150 cities over the next two years. The company targets sales of around 8,000 units by 2025, focusing on steady growth to ensure serviceability. Raptee.HV is raising $20 million to scale operations, including production capacity and dealership networks.

With a clear focus on innovation and quality, the company is poised for significant growth, supported by strategic fundraising and expansion plans. Timeline of Key Milestones

  1. 2019: Raptee.HV was founded to revolutionize the motorcycle industry by integrating high-voltage technology into two-wheelers.
  2. 2024: October 14: Raptee.HV launched the T30, India’s first high-voltage electric motorcycle, priced at Rs 2.39 lakh. The T30 features a 5.4 kWh battery, offering an IDC estimated range of 200 km and a real-world range of over 150km. The company announced plans to start deliveries in Chennai and Bangalore in January 2025. Later their plan is to expand to other key cities based on demand and the adoption of electric mobility.

    Raptee.HV closed its Pre-Series A round of fundraising, led by Bluehill Capital and Artha99 Ventures. It is in the final stages of closing its Series A round to support production ramp-up and dealership expansion. The company unveiled plans for a Factory-integrated Experience Centre, the “Tech store. HV,” at its headquarters in Chennai, offering immersive experiences and factory tours.
